Worked perfectly Review by
Quality

The Snapper shears worked perfectly, I used them to cross cut and rip 8" and 6" width Hardi Plank, to side a 24' x 40', 2 story house. The shears never dulled or slowed, they worked as well on the last cut as they did on the first cut. Very little dust is created using the shears. It is very easy to cut straight with these shears, making ripping (for window openings etc) easy. Cutting curves is not a problem either. Initially, I attempted to use a circular saw with a Hardi blade; this was an incredibly dusty and difficult task, it was far easier to use the Snapper shears. I highly recommend the Snapper shears, they made working with Hardiplank a breeze. Pros: Durable, Very easy to use, Good Design, Quality Materials Cons: None Best Uses: Big Jobs, Small Jobs, Outside, Ripping, Cross cutting I would describe myself as: 'Avid Do-It-Yourselfer'

Good value for the money Review by
Quality

"Put new siding on my son's home as a test for installing on my new home. I found the product easy to use without prior knowledge. The price was excellent for the product received. I used one piece for test cutting and that was a sufficient learning curve. Pros: Quality Materials, Good Design, Easy To Use Best Uses: Small Jobs, Big Jobs, Outside I would describe myself as: 'Avid Do-It-Yourselfer'"

Shears performed flawlessly Review by
Quality

I built my own house this summer and decided to install Hardie Plank. I had heard that it was murder on the saw blades and made a big mess. I figured there had to be a better way to cut the Hardie Plank. That's when I found this product. I installed 3000sq ft of Hardie Board and this unit did not skip a beat. The blades show little wear and the cut is still pretty clean. Pros: Good Design, Easy To Use, Safety Features, Durable, Quality Materials Best Uses: Outside, Big Jobs, Small Jobs I would describe myself as: 'Avid Do-It-Yourselfer'

Snapper Shears Do the Job! Review by
Quality

I have taken on the job of re-siding my home. Hardi-plank siding was our choice. These shears give me a nice clean cut without the mess of cement dust and without the risk of burning up my compound miter saw. I do have to take a small oil stone to it before each use to remove the build-up. But once it's done' I'm good to go. Pros: Easy To Use, Good Design, Quality Materials, Safety Features, Durable Best Uses: Cement Fiber, Outside I would describe myself as: 'Novice'

Best since sliced bread!! Review by
Quality

Just completed 1500 sq ft house with crazy gables and roof intersections. Lots of long cuts on plank boards cement siding. Siding Shear cuts as good as saw with fiber siding blase once you have the hang of it. As another user mentioned, turn the boards over for cleaner front edge. I would even use on Color plus siding after seeing tool in action. My guys love it and will get another. Just wish it cut the Trim Boards :) Thanks!!! Pros: Good Safety Features, Good Grip, Powerful, Easy To Use, Easy To Store Cons: Would Love Hard Case for Best Uses: In The Field I would describe myself as: 'Professional'

A ripping good tool Review by
Quality

This shear was purchased after evaluating several options for circular saws that could be used for cutting cement fiber products, in this case, ventilated soffit material. Safety was the first concern and benefit, but speed and accuracy turned out to be a major plus. People mostly use it to cross cut material, but it really shined when ripping material that was too wide for the underside of my roof eaves. I can't recommend the tool highly enough. Pros: Quality Materials, Safety Features, Good Design, Easy To Use, Durable Best Uses: Outside, Big Jobs I would describe myself as: 'Avid Do-It-Yourselfer'
