The majority of items that we ship to Canada, we can only ship by FedEx International. THERE ARE NO BROKERAGE FEES. We only ship by Air and there are not brokerage fees for air shipments, only ground shipments. You are still responsible for all import fees (same fees you pay with USPS or any other carrier). These are usually just GST/PST but may also contain some import tax depending on many factors such as total item cost, country of origin, type of item, etc. We generally do not ship by USPS because it is significantly less reliable with poor/no tracking and takes longer.

Do I need to pay taxes on this order?

For US orders, tax is only charged for orders shipped to Washington State.
For orders outside of the US, you will need to pay duties and taxes on your shipment when it is delivered to you. These taxes are determined by our country's customs departments and are not charged at the time of checkout. The taxes will be collected by the shipping carrier.


Warranties


This is a reconditioned item, what does reconditioned mean exactly?

Tools get reconditioned for a variety of reasons. If the tool had a defect during manufacturing, it may get sent to be reconditioned at the manufacturer's reconditioning factory. They will test the tool, fix anything that needs to be fixed, and since it isn't new anymore, it gets sold as Factory Reconditioned. Other reasons why a tool would be factory reconditioned would be if the tool was sold to a customer and they returned it for whatever reason under the manufacturer's return policy. If the tool is still in like new condition, it will be sent to be reconditioned. Sometimes on older model products, stores will send back their stock on the shelf so they don't get stuck with an old model. Also, it has happened that a manufacturer will have too many of a product in stock and is having trouble moving it so they may take new stock and put a reconditioned sticker on it so they can sell it out at a lower price without affecting the market price for it's new tools. There are many scenarios that would make a tool a reconditioned tool but as far as DeWALT reconditioned tools go, they only send back quality, new or like new looking tools. They generally look new but can have a scrape or scratch depending on their origin.

What kind of warranty does this reconditioned DeWALT item have?

Reconditioned DeWALT items have the exact same 1 year full warranty as a brand new tool has. Your receipt is your warranty, there are no warranty cards to fill out for DeWALT products. If you ever need to use your warranty, all you need to do is go to http://www.dewalt.com/Find-Service-Center.aspx and locate your nearest Factory Service Center or Authorized Service Center. They will be able to help you get your tool fixed for free under the terms of the warranty. If you have lost a copy of your receipt for warranty, email us and we can email you a copy of it.
