The terms 'Factory Reconditioned', Refurbished, and Remanufactured all refer to the process of maintenance or minor repair of a power tool item, either aesthetically or mechanically.

  Hardware Sales refers to the product being sent back to the manufacturer, tested, repaired if needed, and purchased by Hardware Sales to be resold. Unless otherwise specified in the product description or specifications, the refurbished products Hardware Sales offers are 'Factory Reconditioned' meaning DeWALT (for example) 'Remanufactured' the item and sold them to Hardware Sales. In our case the tool went back to the manufacturer who cleaned the items, checked them out and packed them in new boxes with manuals and accessories. A refurbished power tool is good as new for less!
